We improve our flock genetics to allow you to improve yours

At Teviotdale, we understand the importance of genetics, especially with Texel, Beltex and Blue de Maines. As such we have been working with our commercial flock to decide what works best since 2009.

Our Beltex journey started in 2016, with some very expensive purchases of rams from a well renowned flock called, Airyolland that has remained consistent over the years.

Then in 2021 we further developed with more ewes & rams purchased from the renowned Withy Tree Flock.

As our development stage was built on solid foundations we decided to further enhance our flock with some very important gimmer purchases from the Woodies flock, another well renowned flock in the world of Beltex.

We are increasing our genetic pool with only the finest flocks and with a stance on our slogan, 'Only the best is good enough.'

She is a cracking stock gimmer sired by the one and only Smart Ass Jackpot. Her breeding is outstanding having Kingledores Fern as her dam.

Our most expensive purchase of 2026 so far at £2,400, with a pedigree to match.

A real smart gimmer sired by 1776 a fantastic ram bred by Marc Messian in Belgium.

Her dam is Airyolland Avril Lavigne, who is a daughter of the much admired Rihanna.

Another lovely gimmer with gigots to match, that had been sired by the 2024 RHS male champion, Greenall Gotta Go.

Her Gdam won her class at the Royal Highland Show for 3 years on the trot.

She is my favourite of all the current 2026 purchases, being a well muscled gimmer sired by the 3000gn Woodies Frantic.
